in this Q&A video:

"I saw an incredible need for people to give meaningful gifts that didn't just wilt or get eaten, but helped people embrace the most significant transitions in their lives. Each of our beautiful gifts is a rite of passage in a box!"

--Robin Sol Lieberman, Founder, LIFEHONEY®
UCLA Certified Mindfulness Facilitator and Cultural Anthropologist

ROBIN SOL LIEBERMAN is the Founder of LIFEHONEY® and the Author of The Charisma Code.

During this time of global upheaval--with its social, health and economic implications, Robin created LIFEHONEY® as a means of sharing a few of our world’s ancient wellness practices with the many. As a UCLA-trained Mindfulness Facilitator & Anthropologist, each globally-inspired LIFEHONEY® gift is accompanied by Robin’s resilience-generating meditations and ceremonies.

Dedicated to the emerging culture of the global citizen, Robin has spoken at the United Nations Headquarters, worked with global leaders through events organized by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with new arrival immigrants and refugees, and with the marketing teams of international companies such as Pfizer. Ms. Lieberman sits on the Board of the Freebird Foundation and is a nationally recognized commentator on KTLA (LA), Fox (DC), and P.O.T.U.S (SiriusXM), amongst others. Robin Sol lives in Greater Los Angeles with her partner and their garden of honeybees!

======================

I created LIFEHONEY® because I saw a huge need for people to give meaningful gifts that didn’t just wilt or get eaten, but helped people embrace the most significant changes in their lives. During this time of social distancing, our gifts keep this basic human need for ceremony and celebration alive!

As a cultural anthropologist by training, I committed my studies to learning about ancient healing practices from around the globe. From living in Nepal with a shaman's family for a year as a shaman's apprentice, to living in Mexico studying biomimicry (mimicking the tried and true patterns of 3.8 billion years of nature's survival strategies), there is clearly a wealth of wisdom available for humanity's wellness. For more on this, please check out my book, The Charisma Code: Communicating in a Language Beyond Words.

We launched LIFEHONEY® with the 6 Ceremony Kits you see in our shop. They draw inspiration from the Japanese art of Kintsugi and its "imperfectly perfect" philosophy called wabi-sabi. At a time of global upheaval--with its social, health and economic implications, our mindfulness-based kintsugi ceremonies help us navigate these uncertain times. Trained as a Mindfulness Facilitator at UCLA's Semel Institute for Neuroscience, I produced the video and audio meditations that accompany each LIFEHONEY® gift.

I hope you love our Ceremony Kits and Love Jug as much as I loved designing them for you!

Introducing

Kintsugi Gift Kit Ceremonies Kintsugi Gift Kit Ceremonies

Since the 15th century, instead of discarding pottery that breaks, the Japanese have been joining the pieces with gold. As a wellness philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history and unique character of an object, rather than something to disguise. A visual metaphor for sweetening life's big changes!

Kintsugi (金継ぎ pronounced keen-soo-gee) literally translates to "Golden Joinery". It is also known as kintsukuroi (金繕い "golden repair".)

LIFEHONEY® Kintsugi Kits bring this ancient wisdom to modern life. As the musical artist, Leonard Cohen sang, “Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.” Whether celebrating a marriage or mourning the loss of a loved one, engaging in a LIFEHONEY Kintsugi Ceremony helps embrace life’s monumental moments.

You’ve probably seen it before, but didn't know its name. It’s one of those Japanese gold bowls.

Instead of discarding pottery that breaks, the Japanese have been joining the pieces with gold since the 15th century.

Kintsugi (金継ぎ pronounced keen-soo-gee) literally translates to Golden Joinery. It's an example of becoming more beautiful for having been broken.

“We break our idea of perfection, open to what is and love it all. This is Kintsugi.” --Robin Sol, Founder of LIFEHONEY™
